Day 1

We started our journey in midnight from Bengaluru, an 8 hour long road trip all the way from the silicon valley of india to the breath taking Nilgiri hills (Ooty). On the way you'll gry to see the deers, monkeys, elephants & tigers when you pass through the Bandipur Tiger Reserve & National Park. You will be amazed how quickly the terrains & weather changes.

The temperature drops to as low as 10°C in night. We reached our OYO hotel at around 9 am in the morning.

These are roads of Ooty in September!

This place offers a beautiful panoramic view of the region and has a Telescope House to let travelers catch fascinating views of the surrounding Nilgiri area. However beware of monkeys.

This park has an entry fees of 50Rs. The sunset from this garden was mesmerising & you will not expect the garden to be huge from the entrance but when you go inside it too has terraced layout & is on the edges of the hill.

This has to be the best part of whole trip! The falls are so amazing & beautiful. One has to walk about half kilometer from roadside to reach the Falls. The sight is breathtaking though it could be hot because of walk. One battery car was available at fee of Rs 20/person but one had to wait since there was only one car in operation. There is a steep set of steps to go to viewpoint & old people may find it difficult. The viewpoint is maintained by Tamil Nadu Government & is well maintained. There is a ticket for entry to viewpoint. After this we hit the highways again to go back! This was such a fulfilling experience & one almost forgets that they are in India!!
