Jayant Meena is 24 and is currently working in Vijaya Bank as PO. He is fond of playing FIFA, going to the gym, reading books and listening to music. He also travels and has visited places like Kasol, Manali, Solang, Tosh, Kheerganga, Manila, Daman, Diu, Gir, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Sariska, Nargarh, Ranthambore, Bikaner, and many more places. Recently he went to Uttarakhand.

We wanted a small trip to any nearby place, basically a bike trip. One of my friends suggested Uttrakhand. And also the journey from Delhi to Uttarakhand is very mesmerizing. The whole path is full of mountains and trench. The weather and view are completely unforgettable.

We have to stay in Meerut The view of the Himalayan Range as you reach the dhanaulti was surely the highlight and also the route of dhanaulti was also very compelling. The mountains and the view were totally mesmerizing.

We started our trip from Delhi from there we followed the route to Meerut and Roorkee-Haridwar-Rishikesh-dhanaulti and then mussoorie and from there we went to Dehradun. We rode around 1100km in 5 days. We started our trip around 4 pm in the evening from Delhi, at first we thought that we’ll reach Rishikesh by midnight because Google maps were showing 8hours but it turns out nature did not go easy on us. It was so cold that we weren’t able to ride for more than 4 hours so we decided to stay in Meerut because this was the smartest thing to do at that time. The next morning we rode for Rishikesh, we reached the place around 3in the Noon, we checked into our hotel room, had lunch and did some shopping, saw lakshman jhula and spent the evening at Goa beach. After that, we went to some German café for our dinner. Next morning we went to Shivpuri to get the rafting experience. After that, we moved forward to Dhanaulti. The villages we found en route to dhanaulti from Dehradun were having a very low population. In the evening we reached dhanaulti and camp there. The stargazing experience from that height and into that clear sky is so peaceful. It’s therapy to your soul. Next morning we visited the famous Snow Adventure zone, which is a 7km ride from Dhanaluti at a village named BuransKhanda and did some adventure sports like mountain climbing, skywalk and zip line for adrenaline. After that, we move forward to our next destination Mussoorie. There we saw Kempty fall. It’s a waterfall situated 13km from Mussoorie, you could get bicycles from Mussoorie to get there. You have to get the tickets of cable cars to reach the bottom of the fall. The waterfall looks beautiful from down there. The next day that we rode to Dehradun and there we went to Robber’s cave (Gucchu Paani). The cave is very well maintained and gives you a complete feel of nature connection. After that, we returned to Delhi. On our way back we stayed in Roorkee for the night. The next day was foggy and the bike couldn’t exceed the 30km/hr speed limit because the visibility was nil in the morning. After 1’0 clock the weather clears out and we get the first ray of sun or we call it a ray of hope on that particular day. We reached Delhi around 5 in the evening.

Riding was the highlight. I had classic 350 for the journey and path gives you that experience which you can never forget in your whole entire life. The road from Rishikesh to Dehradun is awesome. The roads which you’ll find from Rishikesh to dhanaulti and back to Dehradun are curvy. You’ll get the feel riding there but also be careful. Always wear gear.

Best transportation will be a bike but if you are with no vehicles you can easily find local autos and cars there.

We actually rented the bike from Rahul Motors which is at Karol Bagh.

I would like to suggest that you should visit these places at the end of summer or winter starting because the temperature there is much less than the normal temperature. If you visit there in winter, put on the worm gear as the weather there is unpredictable.
