Day 1

And once again I was in this beautiful place.
Our Original Plan was Paragliding at Bir Billing. I'll tell you what...let's start from the beginning.

I and Sherry took off from Chandigarh on a friday morning(6'o clock) on Bajaj Discover 125cc (yeah right) for Dharmashala.
We reached there around 3 p.m.
We went straight to McLeod Ganj and from there Upper Dharamkot where we were planning on staying.
The Bunker (you can look it up on booking.com)
Another mate (ANKUR) joined us. (The COOK)
He was in Rehan
(some place near Dharmashala)
Once settled our plan was to hunt the best of McLeod Ganj on Friday night. Wandering in the streets of Maclo. We came across this chinese restaurant named THE NORLING. The service is quite slow there but worth all the wait.
And on Saturday we were to go to Bir for Paragliding. After a tiring Friday late night we dozed off.

Day 2

We woke up and guess what it was pouring.
It was clear that no way Paragliding was happening that day.
So we waited for the rain to stop so we could go do what we went there to do but..negative.
We were sitting in the common room on the terrace(great ambience) and 2 girls came.
They were from Mumbai on a weekend getaway(i know right). And one solo traveler came as well(the guy named Naman was from Jaipur). We sat together talked for a while. They were upset too because of the rain.
After a while, when rain stopped, we went to Naddi Hills (it was quite a view).
We came back in the evening.
ANKUR took off because he had to be somewhere else. After seeing him off we sat in the common room till 2 a.m.

Day 3

Woke up to the clear morning with broad sunlight.
Plan was to come back home on Sunday but Sherry asked Paragliding Chalein?
And I was like I don't mind.
So we made up our mind to go to Bir for Paragliding.
Naman came along.
So we booked for Paragliding from Macleod Ganj and rented one Bajaj Avenger.
Paragliding- 2000/-
Bike Rent- 800/- (a day)
We left MacleodGanj around 12 and were in Bir around 2:30.
The road from Dharmashala to Bir is a treat.
The tea gardens of Palampur, just amazing.
We reached the hotel where the Paragliding guide was waiting for us.
We sat in a cab and the site was 18 km from the hotel.
We reached the site in no time because they are some drivers. (bit scary thou)
They made it real quick because weather was not in our favor.
He made me wear all those gears in no time and i hardly got any time to take photographs.
I hardly took 3 steps and we were Airborne.
Oh God what a feeling.
I won't further tell you about it because it is something you should experience on your own.
The landing was smooth. They transferred the video and we paid them and we took off from Bir right away because it could rain any time.
We were back in Macleod Ganj at 8 pm, ate dinner at THE NORLING and went straight to the BUNKER.
We had no intention of sleeping that night but our tired bodies never allowed us to stay awake past 11.
