Day 1

We arrived in Bir early in the morning. We traveled by Snow Travels from Delhi which I would highly recommend. The bus service is great, they are punctual and they stop at this great dhaba (70 Mile Stone)for dinner. We got down at Tibetian colony and walked out way up to our hostel "The Bunker" in Bir. Now this is a great property and the manager Ashish is a great guy, really helpful. After getting settled in and freshening up we set about to the Tiberian market and went to eat some laping (very tasty but not for the light-hearted). We rented out a bike and set out to explore some hidden waterfalls there are plenty of those around the area. There are vast expanse that can be explored and there are hidden waterfalls in almost every corner. After this we had our lunch in our hostel and set out for paragliding. For paragliding we had to go to Billing which is a place almost 20 from Bir. The ride to Billing is an adventure in itself , narrow roads and fast car. When we reached there the fog was too much for us to paraglide so we waited there for close to an hour while strolling in the hillocks around and an hour later we took the big dive  for which we had travelled all the way to Bir. My words can't do justice to the experience. It was absolutely worth the Rs 2300 that we paid and so much more. It was like being in a plane except there is no plane. You are sitting but right in the sky. It was enthralling to say the least. The ride lasted around 30 mins and we also did some stunts along the way. Also if there try going to para-Himalayas they will offer a nice discount and also a great experience. We strolled around the Tiberian Colony some more and had dinner at Moonshine Cafe. Boy the food here is excellent.

Day 2

Day 2 was all about exploring some more hidden waterfalls and visiting 3 monestaries. We had breakfast at sher-e-punjab, not great food but definitely great view. Had lunch at pindi again the food was disappointing. Try sticking to the cafes for food. And then we boarded bus for Delhi at 6pm.

Overall the experience in Bir was amazing. It is a great place to unwind and leave all your stress behind. Going in early July was a good decision for us because we could paraglide and since it was off season, the place was not too crowded.
