Perfect 1 day itinerary for Singapore

Tripoto
1st Nov 2014

I Highly recommend a good night's sleep before embarking on this itinerary.

11am-Start the day at either Little India or China Town. Choose between either depending on your ethnicity and/or preference. Spend a couple of hours there, Perhaps even indulge in the cuisine available. Both places are easily accessible by the local MRT .

3pm- If you are new in Town and don’t know much about Singapore, National Museum of Singapore is the place to go because no travel is complete without a dose of local history. About 5 mins walk from Dhoby Ghat MRT. Estimated time spent 60-90mins. http://www.thebestsingapore.com/best-place/national-museum-of-singapore/
430pm- If you are feeling energetic, Take the Circle line MRT from Dhoby ghat till Promenade and walk on the 'helix bridge' all the way to Marina Bay Sands shopping center. The walk is about 1.1KM and highly recommended with plenty of photo opportunities.
6pm-Once at the Marina Bay Shopping center, cross over to the MBS hotels, get tickets to the the observation deck (57th Floor). Spend time from till 715pm at the MBS Observation deck for a stunning view of the city's landscape. (pray for a beautiful sunset). http://www.marinabaysands.com/sands-skypark/observation-deck.html 730pm-Cross the road to MBS Shopping center once again to catch the River cruise at 745pm. Estimated time spent 40 minutes http://www.rivercruise.com.sg/services.php?p=cruise
815pm- Walk over to Gardens by the bay to watch the Garden Raphsody show 845-9pm. This used to be my favorite places in Singapore. The show is completely free. Find a nice spot early on, and lie down. As the show starts, lose yourself in a fantastic display of lights and music. http://www.mydestination.com/singapore/things-to-do/178104/gardens-by-the-bay
945pm- Dinner at Lau pa Sat Festival market- Boon tat street hawkers for some very good satay, sea food and beer. (Skip and proceed straight to Clarke Quay if not interested)
11pm-Clarke Quay-Head straight to 'Crazy Elephant' . The Live band there is by far the best on the island. They play every Friday and Saturday. Also, this is one of the very few places in Singapore where you can get shots of Absinthe.
If you are still able to, you could head to 'Zouk' post midnight and dance till you drop. This is supposedly the best club in ASIA. My wife highly recommends this place. Personally, i'd spend the rest of the evening at Crazy elephant listening to some classic rock with intermittent walking about at Clarke Quay
