You may take train to reach Jammu and from Jammu bus stand you can get shared cabs and taxis for the journey till kashmir. Mind it people with weak bowels must take precautions as the whole route is with lots of twists and turns. The cabs stop at various stops, the first one is for a refreshing tea with some paneer pakoras at Jhajarkotli and the next for lunch at Peera . Do not forget to pamper your flat belly with some Ghee Rajma Chaawal of Peera!!!The journey till kashmir takes around 8 hours.You will find many budget hotels in kashmir near Dal Lake and the local conveyance can b found from Tourist Reception Center.
