hi, I am ashwin goswami
i m a freelance photographer, documentary film maker and a full time travel junkie
Anyone  can collaborate on any of my travel assignments
i have an intense experience of traveling throughout the state of himachal pradesh and various parts of the country
and i would love to share my work with barcletmagazine, and hope people enjoy my pictures and get to know more about my travel experiences.
A vintage motorcycle and nikon fm10 manual are my travel partners, and sometimes i borrow camera from some fellows to learn and explore.
Photography for me is one approach to draft my travel experiences at a single platform and remember those people who might have loved me at the shortest time of their life. And i do have certain thoughts about photography , camera and all stuff but let the pictures talk by themselves
"A picture never shared is picture never clicked"
My idea of a good picture is that, the picture should have some emotions with it or something informative or it should atleast carry my feelings and expresses my freedom.
camera, exposure, focus or any other light element are just the medium of expression and it can be used in variety of ways

My last experience was about Chitkul, chitkul is a small and beautiful village in sangla valley, kinnaur hp
Sangla valley is India's last territory towards chinese border and the beauty of sangla valley is so deep that is very difficult for someone to bring that up.
Chitkul village reminds me of the ancient architecture and tribal lives of the natives
and how tribal people have sustained the utter most adverse weather conditions through their certain techniques which have evolved
with decades and its a place beyond the modern civilization.
Chitkul have the domination of its cultural existance that inspires the modern technology towards sustainable growth and non polluting environment. The architecture of the village completely follows vernacular KHATHKUNI (wooden walls and pagoda roof ) pattern of infrastructure that enumerates the ability of tribes to sustain and evolve this advancement in time. These structures are still standing tall and are the most beautifying objects of the frame. It resembles the adapting ability of those tribes which are inhibited in sangla valley. Although now, chitkul is very approachable and have been provided with certain luxuries but the village still follows the norms , strictly. Chitkul is rich in culture, one can enjoy a ethnic Himachali folk song, they allow everybody to be a part of their rituals and festivals and provide less fortunate with food and basic amenities. the temple holds the manuscripts about the history and evolution of the tribal place and religious behaviour of the natives keeps the vicinity of the place alive.
For a photographer ,Chitkul is no less than a paradise , the diverse compostion of flaura and fauna exponentially increases the natural Essence.  Everchanging weather , the hyper running river stream , deep gorges, treacherous roads, watercrossings, and much more adventure to experience in chitkul
This is how I examined chitkul as an engineer, after fulfilling my social responsibility, i was free to explore the place and me within my self My first impression of chitkul reflect my desire to feel adventure and the calmness of the mesmerising place pulled me towards the Beauty of existing lives. I discovered how the beauty of the place is admired upon their live styles as the crop looks like flowers are actually the cereals that they grow to fulfil their need, the pink colour of flower and fields blends with the green and yellow  reflection for the sun just regulates the ideas is a perfect picture. I have met a family , they offered me food, accommodation, and shared their culture and religious beliefs and i loved to be their guest. I found that inspire if being away from technology driven world these people make the most out of their day. The woman in the picture told me a lot about their lives and about the village, this lady was so generous That when i told her that I have been to the most places in Himachal Pradesh ... She calls me '' a Pahadi'' (from the mountain) at heart and soul and give away her traditional Himachali cap that for me surely is priceless.she does recognise that her little effort can turn my life around. Her efforts of appreciation , motivated me and boosts the madness inside me, to see, to explore and to feel MORE
