1. Pulicat Lake and Bird Sanctuary – This sanctuary located in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh is a treat for bird watching and boat ride. The best season to go bird watching is from November to February

2. Fort Geldria- Built in 400 years back by the Dutch East India Company and was one of the First settlements in India. The fort now stands near the Pulicat Lake and bird sanctuary

3. Sowcarpet – Sowcarpet is one of the busiest neighborhoods in Chennai with narrow lanes and vintage buildings. Sowcapet is famous for the North Indian Chat food and one should not miss restaurants like Kakada Ramprasad , Agarwal bhawan

4. Royapuram – Royapuram is a fishing neighbourhood in North Chennai. Visit the Groynes and Piers to get a glimpse of fisherman repairing their boats and bringing fresh fish caught from the sea. Don’t miss the sunset

5. Old Washermanpet – Washermanpet is the textile hub of Chennai. Its famous for textile and jewellery shops. Try Atho and Bejo available at shops like Atho Man. etc
