Khajiar is a small hill station in the Chamba district of the Indian state, Himachal Pradesh. It's absolutely mesmerizing during Winters, thus, my younger sister and I planned to visit this wonderland this season.
We started off from Shimla, took a bus straight to Chamba which was an almost a 14 hours journey. As soon as we reached there we were received by our buddy Kanwar who is a resident of the town. We spent our day, at his home and roaming around the Chamba town, waiting for two of our others friends who were supposed to reach the next day.
On the day 2, we were woken up by the arrival of our friends Hemant and Nikhil. Kanwar, his family, and we all friends packed our stuff for the next few days and started moving further towards this beautiful place, where we had planned to get stuck in the snow fall as it was predicted that it's going to snow heavily for the next 3 days. Which meant we might get stuck there for 7-8 days without electricity, and with the roads being block by the Snow.
Since the day we reached Khajiar, it snowed for the next 3 days continuously.
Each day we used to get up from our beds, have a cup of tea which Kanwar's mother used to give us with some goodies and head towards the ground. Until, afternoon we used to play in snow, take Lobo (Kanwar's Husky) around.
LOBO, was the happiest one of us all. Snow was favorite!! Throughout the day he used to jump around, make us run after him and whenever at home, literally howled to make us take him out.
We had the best of our times!! It was a relaxed reunion. Luckily or unfortunately, I don't really know, but we didn't got stuck for so many days. Roads were opened in just a day.
Khajiar, in snow was definitely a thing to see and Kanwar made it happens for us.
