Day 3 was a trip to Auroville which is approximately 16 kms away from Pondicherry. Luckily the weather was not that bad for a long ride. Auroville is an experimental township in Viluppuram district mostly in the state of Tamil Nadu, India with some parts in the Union Territory of Puducherry. This golden ball is also known as Matrimandir. We need to enroll before hand to enter this area for meditation.
The next destination was the Paradise beach which was literally opposite Auroville. This beach is around 30 mins away from Pondicherry and as the name suggests, its is Paradise. This beach is a little-isolated beach, and to reach here, you have to take a ferry across the backwaters, which takes around 20-30 minutes. The sand of the paradise beach is extraordinarily soft and grainy - and a walk along the entire beach is fantastic. Its open till 5 PM
The last day was just to chill and relax. We went to french colony and got many pictures clicked in front of amazing french structured buildings. We did a long scooty ride throughout the area and enjoyed some authentic Chettinad cuisine at Karaikal Hotel.
On the 5th day we checked out from our hotel and left at around 11 AM in a cab to Chennai. Pondicherry has my heart. This place is calm and beautiful and gave me a lot of memories. I would visit this place once more in my life for sure.
