Forest Guest House

Prashar Lake is situated at an average height of 2700 meters and lies 45 kms north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It can be reached through two ways one is from Mandi and another one from Bajuara. Since me and my friends started our trip from Kullu we decided to take the Bajaura road. Though at few places the condition of road is not good but the lush green pine trees and beautiful scenery make up for the bad road. The road passes through many small villages such as Ropa, Rahala, Kandi, Baggi. Baggi is the last village where one can buy tea, maggi, biscuits and other eatables. As soon as the journey in treacherous mountain road ended we saw a beautiful valley and a huge ground. The food is available only at one place which serves rice and daal.

The night can be either spent at a PWD guest House or a Forest guest House. But if you are out for adventure you can carry your tents and spend the night under the open sky. We spent the night in the tents and packed off in the morning. If you want to chill in the peaceful hills, this place is the best place!
