One evening we were seat at our hall when baba came and said he is planning for a puri trip in our next winter vacation. I was pretty excited because before that when ever I asked him for a vacation he took me to my uncle's place so it was my first vacation in a new place. Then he booked tickets for bhubaneswar from howrah at dhauli express (because the other trains are all full and we plan just before one week we commenced our journey ).

Day 1

At early morning in 6 am we reached station and get into the train after a long 6 and half hour journey we reached at bhubaneswar. From there one could take a bus to puri or hire a taxi. We choose the second option. It took around 2 and half hours to reach. We had very hush hash planning so we couldn't book any hotel so we take a home stay there to 15 min walking distance from sea beach and it was really cheap and very warming(or if you plan early then there is plenty of hotel starting from 300/- , 500/- to 2500/- and above) . So all of these took much time to settled down and when we finally reach at beach it was dark out side but the beauty at it's own way at the evening. Me and my bhai started to play kabaddi with wave and elders were watching us and when we look at the time it was already 9:30 so we decide to call it a night.

Day 2

Very early morning at 5:00 we reached at beach to watch sun rise but we were not that lucky so it was too cloudy to watch but we don't get disappointed and had a walk through the sea shore for long and after that we take sea bath nad went to a beach side dhaba to had some amazing food with all wet cloths because we were so hungry. At evening went to the market located at swargadwar road and did our shopping. After that we visit the market at beach where one can find some really good stuff made from shells, artificial pearl or other stone jewellery, sculptures made by plaster of paris . Here our day was ended.

Day 3

This day is planned for visit jagannath temple where paying 50 rs we went for idol darshan (one can manage a free darshan within 7 to 8 am at every morning ). After darshan and have the mahaprasad or bhog and came back. At evening we went to visit jagannath dev's maternal aunt's house(Masir Bari) where he stays for seven days in rath yatra utsab (that is also a temple). Then went to OTDC (orissa tourism development corporation) office to book our next day sight seeing. Pic from Google-

Day 4

The day start at sharp 7:00 am from OTDC office and head towards our first destination by their bus service(which is cost 320/- person or if you decide to hire a taxi then it will cost with in 3500/-) to konarak sun temple, then mukteshvara temple, udaygiri, khandagiri caves, dhauli shanti stupa where you found the rock edicts and two separate kalinga edicts. At last we reached at nandankanan zoological park and take a safari ride to whole park(but here I will suggest if time permit then keep a full day only for visiting here then one could explore the place very well) . There I first saw the orangotang, and white peacock. Here our trip ended and we get back to puri and then visit a hadicraft fare held by the orrisha government. Pic from Google-

Day 5

The next morning we had train to catch from bhubaneswar so we bid good bye to puri by visiting the sea for the last time. We take bus from state bus terminal to bhubaneswar, which cost 100 rs per head and then get back to home with lots of beautiful memories and a new found passion for travel.

At last I have only one request, if you have a plan to visit puri then make sure you go for a sightseeing to "Chilka"(it will cost per head 420/- if you book from OTDC or you can hire a taxi,it will cost about 1500/-. After reaching there one have to book a boat for go further as it's a lake and it will cost around 700/- person) what is my only regret about my first ever travel expreince in a very new place.
