Udhagamandalam well known as Ooty.

Nickname(s): Queen of Hill Stations

Being in Tamil Nadu for 4 Years, I never got a chance to visit Ooty but I was never disappointed. I made Ooty as my trip plan after joining my job at Tinsukia, Assam. On 18 August 2015 finally the day came when I was at Queen of Hill Station.

We made 6 Member team and decided to hire a car from Coimbatore to Ooty visited most of the tourist places and enjoyed chilling weather. Specialty of team, it has member from Assam,Bihar,Andhra Pradesh,Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Six members from  different states.

Ooty is situated deep within the Nilagiri hills (which can be literally translated as The Blue Mountains). It is unknown whether this name arises from the blue smoky haze given off by the eucalyptus trees that cover the area or from the kurunji flower, which blooms every twelve years giving the slopes a bluish tinge.

There are lots of other details you can find on website, but here is something you should know before planning to visit ooty-
