Day 1

So after work post midnight me accompanied by a friend embarked on the journey to the Queen of Hills Mussoorie. We took the govt. bus to Dehradun and reached there at 6am. We had already booked a Suzuki access one day prior. It costed us 550inr for a day. So after reaching Dehradun we went to our bike dealer, took our scooty and filled the petrol.
Then we left for Mussoorie which is 40kms from Dehradun bus stand. Our first destination was Kempty Water falls. On our scenic ride to waterfalls we took a halt at road side restaurant named Jadwan Maggi Point to have a breakfast. They quite decent meals. So after filling up our stomachs we continued our journey to waterfalls. It took around 2 hrs to reach there. It was quite relief to see that the place wasn't crowded at all. We took a locker for 100rs and placed our bags and clothes inside it. Got into our undies and jumped into the water. The water was shivering cold. We enjoyed their for around 45mins and came out of it all shivering. Then changed and came back upstairs. It was already 12noon by then. So we decided to have lunch at one of the restaurants present there and then went on to see our next stop.
Next stop was Company Gardens. It is a group of gardens with different varieties of flora and also have one man made waterfall. It is worth visiting. We stayed there for half hour and then left.
Out next halt was at Cloud Ends. As the name suggests one can see majestic clouds quite closely. The view from there was simply breathtaking. We took loads of pictures there. We sit there for quite a bit and continued our trip.
George everest was our next halt. One can depict from the name that it's a small trek to reach the George everest peak. The places heavily covered with fog. I got seperated from my friend. I got really worried. After searching alot finally I found him. We decided to do the trek. But we were running short of time. We did half the trek and came back. The view from George everest is simply exquisite. On our way back we saw the beautiful herd of goats.
Next stop in our itinerary was Laal Tibba. It's a view point.  From here one can see different peaks of Himalayas like Nanda Devi. But unfortunately the view was all covered with snow. So we could able to see anything. We barely stayed there for  20mins. Then left to Buddha temple and Dalai hills.
I found these two places the best among all the places we visited in Mussoorie. The environment there is so peaceful. One must visit this place in Mussoorie.
Dalai hills is located adjacent to Buddha temple. One has to climb several stairs to reach the top. It was all covered with fog and clouds. Sun was hidden behind clouds. There is a idol of lord Buddha at the top. Colourful flags are hanging there. All these together make the place so beautiful that I can't that into words. We climbed down the stairs and took a halt at the restaurant for evening tea and snacks. Tea was really tasty. Here the tour of Mussoorie with my friend ends.

On our way back to Dehradun we halted at Shri Prakasheshwar Mahadev Temple. The best thing about this temple is they don't take any donations there. We reached Dehradun and gave back the vehicle to the dealer.
I'm adding here my one night stay in the month of June with my. We halted here on our way to Yamunotri. So at night we could explore much. We just visited famous mall road there. It is quite a happening place during the evening. One can have meal as lot of restaurants are present there. There was one church also present but it got closed already.

So in the end I would suggest you to spend a day or two in Mussoorie to enjoy the environment. We had only one day so we covered as much as we can. However, two days are perfect to cover all the places.
