I was always fascinated by the beautiful, majestic palaces and landscapes of rajasthan as a kid as well as growing up. The cities of rajasthan like jaipur, udaipur have been on my bucket list for a really long time and year 2016 is when i managed to take them out of my already overflowing bucket ;) !

Thanks to my cousins for a great company and for the fun time i had exploring the cities on foot, rickshaw etc , eating the local cuisines and much more!

Accommodation :

Day 1

We stayed at a beautiful property called Umaid mahal - A three star heritage castle with good amenities. The hotel provided a clean , well decorated room, decent breakfast buffet and transportation facilities. The manager of the place was a polite guy and provided assistance whenever needed.

Places to visit :

Our first stop was the Amer fort, around 20 km from the city center. The fort is really huge and beautiful and it takes around 2 - 3 hours to cover most of the areas of the fort.

We ended our day at jaipur with a visit to Chokhi dhani, a rajasthani village themed park! Chokhi dhani has restaurant offering sumptuous rajasthani thali with unlimited dal, bati and churma, dal paratha and much more. It also has mehendi stall , gol gappa stall, puppet shows and we also enjoyed dancing to rajasthani music played by the locals there. Overall chokhi dhani is an evening's experience in itself if you have a fun gang to enjoy with!
