Tripoto
26th Dec 2015
Solo travelling in India for the first time is always scary for a female but it turns out an amazing experience for me. I chose Rajsthan for its royal architecture , its culture and ofcaurse the clothes.. :)
This trip was quite budget friendly around 5K (including hotel stay and travelling) I booked all my tickets one week before and also the train tickets in tatkal. I took a train from mumbai to jaipur on 26th december. Reached Jaipur on 27th. I stayed in hostel (female dom). This hostel concept is for bagpackers and its very less in India. However, Moustache was one of them and its very clean and such a beautiful place to stay. You met new people there as room mates.(this place is full of foreigners).
First day I went to Jal mahal anf johri bazar.
Johri bazar is one of the best place for shopping. I wanted to roam in Rajasthan wearing rajasthani clothes. So I went there first. Jal mahal is beautiful place but the water is not so clean.
On the second day I started from Hawa mahal, followed by City palace and Jantar mantar. These three places are near by each other. You can walk easily. Ask some local guys for directions. City palace is very big and historical.   Jantar Mantar is the place where the machinary of old times you can see. How the raja used to see time , " rashi bhvishya" etc. You should have a guide to see this place. Otherwise you wont understand anything.
Next is the time for lunch :)
Rajasthani thali with dal bati churma and gatte ki sabzi :)

Nahargargh fort and jaisingh fort is the best place to spend evening in jaipur. These two forts are situated 600 ft above from the city and the city view is very beautiful from here.

Coming from the fort, I tried street food. Its very spicy. Next day I started my journey towards Udaipur. I missed Amer fort from Jaipur but it was worth spending evening at nahargarh fort.
Udaipur is almost 6hrs from Jaipur. I started early so that I can have some time to roam Udaipur in the evening.
On 29th afternoon I reached Udaipur and stayed at hotel Pratap Bhawan. Its near to city palace and lake pichola. First I visited lake pichola. Its quite beautiful.
I was little tired because of the train journey so decided to spend rest of the time at hotel. At evening I went to the roof top restaurant and was so amazed by the wonderful view.  Next stop was City palace. Udaipur city palace is damn big. And full of history. Almost half day you can spend here. I went there and took two tickets. One of 30 rs to see palace and 250rs for my camera. I didnt know that inside the palace there is a mueseum. And to enter in that you need one more ticket of 250 rs.When I was about to enter in the palace one guy stopped me saying that you need one more ticket to enter in palace. I told him I dont have it. He said that I need to go back and buy that ticket. I feel hopeless because the ticket window was very far. Somehow that guy read my face and asked me to give money to him and he will get it for me. I was happy and agreed. But when I looked into my wallet I found only 40-50 bucks. I feel so embarrased and told him sorry I can not buy ticket because m running out of money. I started towards gate. After one min that guy again came stopped me. His seniour was with him who was in aarmy mumbai. He explained my problem to his seniour and that man give money to buy tickets for me. I stopped him saying that its not a problem I will find ATM and get the money. But he told me mam you are our guest its our duety to help you. I was so pleased by such good people

Sajjangarh and Jaisamand was there in my list next but it was very far from my place to I skipped them and here I ended my journey with lot of memories.
