Day 1

It was my first morning in Rishikesh, and already feeling super fresh after bath at Triveni ghat. Now our next destination was the famous Ram Jhula.

We took an auto ride to Ram Jhula from Triveni ghat, which charged around ₹20/each. We dropped near Sita ghat which is near to Ram Jhula.

Sita ghat is very well built ghat to sit down and do prayers and maybe meditation. We sat at the ghat for around half an hour and enjoyed the breeze of the Ganges. On the other side of the river, we could see the Parmarth Niketan, famous for Ganga Aarti.

Then we headed to the Ram Jhula. It's an iron suspension bridge built across the river, connecting Muni ki Reti to swargashram. It was constructed in 1986, and is one of the very famous landmarks in Rishikesh.

The bridge has a very windy atmosphere. It feels such calmness standing on the bridge. The Jhula is little bit narrow for 3 people to walk together, and a little bit scary as it feels that bridge shakes with the wind😇. Also, the bridge road seems broken at few places. But standing there for a while gives immense peace to the heart.
