Day 1

Day 1 - Patrika Gate, Jawahar Circle.

When walls give complex to Rainbows! 🌈

Rangeelo Rajasthan, taking my love for colors to a whole new level. ❤️
If I have to imagine a door that let's you to another magical dimension, then this would probably be the one!

Patrika gate is a crazy cool hallway in Jaipur that is also the entrance to the Jawahar circle garden, that is honoured as the largest circular park all over in Asia. ✨

This place gives you a sneak peek into the vibrant culture of Rajasthan. Each pillar here depicts hand paintings of forts, palaces, temples, blue pottery, jewelry, rulers and mythological influences on different parts of the state.

Today, this gate has become one of the most popular tourist destination in Jaipur, and it's not hard to see why! 🌸

Day 2

Day 2- Hawa Mahal

This Cafe in Jaipur took my obsession with Hawa Mahal to another level.
Nothing beats the experience of having a scrumptious lunch by this view. You can gaze down at the entire city from here. 🌸

A fun fact about Hawa Mahal -
This landmark 'honeycomb' facade with it's 953 small windows is the tallest building in the world without a foundation.
It has 5 storeys and because of the lack of a solid foundation the palace is curved and leaning at an angle of 87 degree. Still the palace stands upright because of the pyramidal shape.

Hawa Mahal is one of the topmost things to see in Jaipur and having done so myself, I can quite understand WHY. Visit it in the morning, the best view of this place comes when it is lit with the golden light of sunrise. ❤️

Day 3

Day 3 - Albert hall museum

Isn't it funny that you start building a huge monument like Albert hall and you don't know what use it would be put to.

But the highlight of this place, are the Pigeons and the moment they create when suddenly, out of the blue, they synchronously spread their wings to fly, breaking the calm around the circle that this monument stands on and thus putting up a great show for the passersby.

Not sure which one is a marvelous creation. The structure itself or the splendid moment that these birdies create. Even though the purpose of the architecture was unknown during its construction, but the birds sure had made up their mind. ❤️🌸

Day 4

Day 4 - Nahargarh fort, Jaipur

Remember Aamir's famous beer scene from the song 'Masti ki Pathshaala' : movie 'Rang de Basanti'?.
It was shot here at the Nahargarh fort.

Though the fort was always a sought after destination for tourists, but after the shooting of blockbuster movie Rang De Basanti, this fort got instant fame amongst the Indians🌸. Indians today are discovering their own country.

I love how media & entertainment industry has influenced us from breakfast to dinner and also kept us awake and aware of the diversified Indian landscape, heritage, religion, cuisine, dance, music and festival and Indian cinema, which is no doubt the highest grossing part of the M&E industry, has done a lot for the advancement of tourism in India… by not only in zeroing several unexplored destinations here but by also inducing a positive change in the traveling style and outlook towards backpackers and travellers.
But,
While On one side this is driving a surge in visitors, on the other side this is bringing with itself trash—on the subcontinent.

Responsible tourism is the need of the hour.

So next time you are on a trip - Let you, place and the people benefit from your visit. Practice Responsible tourism because that's the only way you can give back to the place, environment and the mother earth.

Ask Yourself, “What do I know about the place I am visiting? Does the money I spend benefit the locals, and how are my choices affecting the environment?”
Take conscious decisions because that will ensure that the beauty of a place and the livelihood of its people are enhanced for your next visit there, and for others, too. 🇮🇳🌿🌏🌅
