Theur is one of the Ashtavinayakas, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's an unexplained serenity in this place. Starting from Pune, one starts feeling peaceful as the journey starts. There is vegetation and greenery all along the way to the temple. Crossing Loni, the density of traffic becomes very less and all you can hear the the sound of wind brushing against your face. No peep- peeps and honk-honks. Till the time you reach the temple, you're already peaceful at heart. There's lush green vegetation all around. Farms have taken over all the place. There are small dhabas throughout the way.
Once you reach the temple, religiousness surrounds you. People are in their prayers, tourists exploring the place, locals coming for their daily worship, priests engaged in the temple activities, vendors selling their stuff and small kids playing all around.I believe that people look most beautiful when they worship. I've been to this place a lot of times and I've always felt a belonging towards this place. A day away from the hustle, that's what you need living in a city. And with a serene place so close, what more could you ask for! :)
