Gandikotta is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in India which still remains unexplored comparing other places of equal value.Situated in the Pennar river in Andhra Pradesh,this place is a real beauty.If you want to try something different for your next travel plans,boy this is your deal.
After a two days ride from Kochi we reached Gandikotta village.From Kochi we joined the NH 544 till Bangalore,then joined NH 44 on the way to Hyderabad and then took a deviation  at Bagepalli and reached Kadiri.Then the road took us to Jammalamagadu,the town nearest to Gandikotta.Here you can get rooms,not that top class,but budget friendly and all other essential things.A 14 KM ride from here takes you to the Grand canyon of India.Both the Sun rise and sun set will provide you immense art works of Nature.The view of gorge will take your breath away.The way Pennar river fkows through the gorge is an amazing view to watch.In addition to this gorge some temples,a beautiful fort,jail, mosque all dates back to centuries can be found here.One hour ride from here ,you will reach the Biggest Cave system opened to Public,Belum caves.This place have both geographical and archeological importance.
If you took a different route from Kadiri through Tirupati route to Kochi you can visit Horsely Hills-Ootty of Andhra.It is a beautiful hill station which provides some great landscape and Mountain views.And from here you will took the road  to NH 544 which joins at Krishnagiri.On the way you will pass through the legendary KGF mines.And after that there is only one destination you have to cover-Home.This sums a 5 days trip through 4 states covering around 2000 kilometers.
