Visit to Rishikesh takes you in world of peace and spirituality where stress and Rishikesh is the place with the full of peace and spirituality. I went Rishikesh 2-3 times but this time I found something which I didn't get previously. It is very obvious that some of we are very much in to the spirituality and devotion. I found difference and variety in spirituality at Rishikesh. Rishikesh is the place where you will found the original Indian spirituality which you can find in Haridwar along with the global version of spirituality. One is focused on inner peace and another is fond to relate the peace with devotion and God. I love both of them at the same time because of Rishikesh.
I spent my first evening to attend Ganga Aarti which was a spellbind experience to me and I don't want to leave while aarti was end.
Next day I visited few nearby places of Rishikesh like Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the Laxman Temple which are good visiting places in the town.
The next morning I spent time in at the near by place like Laxaman Jhula and the Laxman Temple
I was stayed in the Skyard hostel, A Super cheap stay in Rishikesh. The rooms are clean and i love the painting which representing little Rishikesh in the hostel.
Rishikesh is quite famous for water sports and Bungee jumping also. I would like to say that it is the best place to do these adventurous things. But this time I was completely in the mood of spirituality and finding my inner peace which I am getting gradually by exploring Himalaya and in the lap of Ganga. Morning of the Holy town is quite different from morning of the working or home city. I woke up early to visit Ram Jhula by morning walk. The morning walk from the skyard to Ram Jhula is a amazing because the empty footpath along with the sound and view of the Ganga river was made my morning. It is little bit chilling sensation in the morning time but i was comfortable with it because i have wind cheater and also my ears were covered.
Visiting Places : on list it is hard to find visiting place in Rishikesh but I would like to say that Rishikesh have some places where you will find your inner you.
1. Ram Jhula and Ghats near Ram Jhula (Best time to visit here is early morning in your yoga pants, I just love to sleep here until someone disturbed me ) This is a also a good place for evening visitors like me but this time lots of public are here so I change little bit of the direction because another side of the Ram Jhula there is Ganga beach which is a good destination for photo clickers and sometimes lesser people are here.
2. Laxman Jhula and Laxman Temple/Trimbkeshwar Temple (13 Manjil temple) Most of the Indian Gods and Goddess reside in this temple. you can visit all of them in a single visit. The best part of the temple is the viewing beauty of Rishikesh from the top floor of the temple.
3. Triveni Ghat- A very must go place at the Arti time and spend your evening at another Ganga beach.
4. NeelKanth Mahadev- Little far from the Rishikesh but feel nice to travel around the Rishikesh in lush green forest type hilly area and the temple is famous.
5. Kunjapuri Temple- When you visit Kunjapuri temple you can really feel that you are in mountain. Little far from the town and in direction from the town but route is more beautiful.
4. Patna waterfalls - If you have time and your own vehicle then it is a good experience to visit Patna waterfalls. Just avoid this place in the heavy rainy season.
Camping near Ganga, Hiking, Bungee Jumping and Rafting are the most non avoidable things in Rishikesh. These are the only reason for some people to visit Rishikesh. You can visit Rishikesh in two days or may be you fall in love with this place and you always remain hungry to visit here like me. The town is full of joy, adventure, spirituality, and devotion. The best combo town in my perspective.
