Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Rishikesh is a scenic place in Uttarakhand. Be it summers or winters, thousands of people from across the world throng this city. There are numerous temples here that combined with the presence of the Ganga River, make it one of the most significant spiritual places in the country. The natural beauty of the city, itself draws hordes of tourists. This is not all, as the city is also visited by those who like to indulge in adventure sports.
We a group of 15+ Bikers set out to feel the thrill of River Rafting from Delhi.
Rishikesh is around 250 Km's from Delhi and our stay was 300 Km's from our starting node.
We reached our tents around 3 PM as it was hell of a traffic while entering the city and as usual "n" number of breaks in between.
Though River Rafting is adventurous, but it's dangerous in deed as many people have even lost life :( .
We did the 20 Km's length and it took us around 2 hours ( i guess ) to cover . And it was hell of an adventure.
This was my first time and I was quite scared , but after Level 3 Rapid i gained confidence , still I won't be never sitting in the front row of raft :D
This was a small Rapid and you can look how fun it was .
Crossfire Rapid - it's a whirlpool and we were instructed that just before entering this rapid that not to panic if raft flips.
We were about to collide with the rock :/
One of the Breathtaking Rapid this was . 3 rapids in a ROW ....
Whoever had ever done rafting must be familiar with " Chirmiri Chirmiri Dhoom Dhadaka " , if not go and DIY . :D
