Day 3

Day-3 Ajmer to Udaipur

After having breakfast at our hotel in Ajmer we resumed our road journey to Udaipur which is at 250km distance from Ajmer. We reached Udaipur in 6 hours crossing 5 tolls which costed total of Rs285/- amount.

Stay in Udaipur

We pre-booked our hotel via agoda.com at the famous Lake Pichola hotel.Single Room at Lake pichola costed us Rs7000/- including breakfast per day with lake pichola view from balcony. We had booked our stay for 2 days. The room size was decent and basic amenities were also satisfactory. The major attraction of this hotel is the lake pichola view and supremely famous restaurant at roof top named "Upre" which priced above nominal and is usually pre-booked.

The breakfast spread in the hotel was huge but tasted just okay. Don't expect much from the breakfast.

Places visited in Udaipur

Our hotel was on lake pichola so we didnot have to travel for this lake. Boat rides on lake pichola is available at Rs1000/- per person but due to shortage of time we skipped this one.

What do i say about this lake. This lake is absolute beauty and worth the visit. The view from fateh sagar lake is mesmerizing. Activities like regular boat ride, speed boat ride, kayaking are available on this spot. There is a huge chopati in walking distance where options to eat are available. We took a group boat ride here which costed Rs30/- per person. You should definitely include this place in your itinerary.

Day 4

City Palace is a massive and extremely popular palace in udaipur.  It takes about 2 hours to cover entire palace with lot of crowd. I personally didn't enjoy this palace as it appeared to be just a bussiness game. Most of the things in showcases were missing and some appeared to be fake items not related to the historical period of udaipur. The entry fee is approx Rs200/- per person and didn't appeared to be justified to me.

A quiet and peaceful place with entry fee of Rs10/- .This place is for the one's who would like to spend some time away from city's hustle bustle and experience peace and beauty.

This is one of the most amazing place in udaipur. It is at a distance of 15km from the city and takes about 30mins to reach. Parking space is available near the location. You need to hike for about 15mins to reach at the top but the view from the hill is worth it. The vibe of this place is worth the visit. You will also find one tapri selling chai and maggie on the top which will satisfy your taste bud. People do hike along with their bikes as well. It is a picturesque place and you should not miss visiting this place in udaipur. The road just near the place is rough and has nearly no electricity so i would advice you to visit it before it gets dark.Entry to this place is free.

Places to eat

There are lot of places to eat in Udaipur. We had our lunch at "Upre" restaurant on roof top of our hotel .We had our dinner on chopatti which is near Fateh sagar lake priced extremely reasonable.

The next day we had our lunch at the restaurant named "Raas Leela" and ordered non-veg which was lip smacking. Dinner was done at which tasted below average.

After having dinner we went to our room and played few games sitting at balcony with lake pichola view and later slept on time so we could checkout on time and move back to delhi covering Jodhpur on our way.
