Day 1: Marrakech – Dades Gorges
Morning departure from your hotel / riad in Marrakech 08 hours and crossing the mountains of the High Atlas Tizi -n- Tichka , the highest in Africa cervix. We continue to Dades Gorge , passing the oasis of Skoura, where numerous ancient kasbahs , some sadly in ruins, stand out among the palms. From here, our route takes us through Kela’a M’gouna , Valley of Roses, where we stop to see cosmetic items made locally from abundant roses of the valley. These products are well known throughout Morocco and are greatly appreciated . You stop in the Dades gorges in a hotel near the river for the night.
Day 2 : Dades – Atlas Mountains
After breakfast , hike two days and 1 night in the surrounding area Dades Gorge begins. During the trek , mules transporting equipment ( blankets, mattresses, kitchen equipment and personal luggage). Guide and mule will highlight the features of the landscape and describe the life of the local Berbers who live in the mountains of the Anti- Atlas . The pace and length of each part of the trek is set by hikers, allowing time to stop as and when desirable or necessary measure. You will probably spend a night with a Berber family and the other earlier in the caves with the Berber nomads tending their goats up there mountains.
Day 3: Mountains – Merzouga
In the morning we walk to the hostel to freshen up with a shower, before heading to the dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, stopping along the way to visit the Todra Gorge and s stop later in Rissani for lunch. Otherwise, you will have lunch on arrival at the camp , where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Merzouga Sahara Desert
Merzouga In the evening , one hour a camel through the large sand dunes and stony across the Sahara is provided , stopping to prepare lunch in the dunes . In the afternoon , a camel ride for two hours is programmed to achieve the high dunes ( Erg Chebbi ) . From there , 250m , sunset is an amazing spectacle. Dinner and overnight is in a camp at the foot of the dunes.
Day 5 : Merzouga – Marrakech
If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacle of sunrise , when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an impressive sight. We then ride to the east of the Draa Valley through the villages of Tazzarine ( in the movie ” Babel “) and N’Qob for lunch. In the afternoon , we drive to Tanasikht along the track of the old caravan route to reach the Draa valley , full of tall palm trees and old Kasbahs , Agdez . The road then passes through the Tizi -n- Tinfifite go to Ouarzazate and the night in a riad. Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the backdrop for many Hollywood films. It is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. From there, the road continues to Telouet along the new asphalt road. This Kasbah is located in the middle of the mountains and was once the seat of the last Pasha of Marrakech, El Glaoui, where the highest pass in Africa , Tizi -n- Tichka was controlled . At the end of the afternoon we arrive in Marrakech.
