Situated at a distance of 79 Kms. from Bhopal, Salkanpur is well known for the Bijasan Mata Mandir. It is a perfect weekend ride for bikers from nearby places like Bhopal. Famous for the Morning Prayers (Aarti) at around 5 in the morning, it will take you to climb a flight of stairs before you can have a darshan of the Goddess. Worth mentioning is the road (specially the last 30 Km. stretch) that leads to the temple. You can even spot wild animals on your way. It makes you forget about your present and takes you back 15-20 years down the line with the rural picture on its backdrop.
