Day 1

Sun-Drenched RoadTrip: São Paulo to Rio ‼️

From the megapolis which is like a giant heart, traffic pulsating through its arteries. São Paulo has tunnels, buildings with helipads, pillars. From urban to sun and sandy beaches of Rio. Rio is purgatory of beauty & chaos.

#BeautifulLandscape #PersonalCarFor4days #goodmusic

Day 2

Welcome to Rio!

Scrumptious Italian food, a must try.

Other recommendations on copacabana beach:

1) Churrascaria Palace- serves sushi. Expensive but must have.

2) Chou Kou Chinese Restaurant -serves Chinese which matches Indians tastebuds.

3) Sindicato do leme.

Day 3

If you're a beach person like me you'll love the sand & waves that line the coasts of Rio. Our first morning in the city,we drove straight to Ipanema beach. We jumped right into high waves & were tossed around.

Right by the beach front, there are jogging & cycling tracks, and cycles for rent at 5 reals per hour . We rented cycles from one beach & deposited them off at the other.

Must see beaches are Ipanema , copacabana & leblon. We spent most of our time on this beach due to overcrowd on the copacabana.

It's a set of world famous steps made of colourful, broken tiles. It's not just stairs but art as a whole. It exhibits the culture of a Brazilian artist.

It can be missed, if you have less number of days in Rio to spend.

It offers spectacular views on earth. Several shows are held here by major Brazilian artists where people can dance the night away & watch the city's light glittering from below.

To reach the top of mountain, one has to take cable car.

A fancy restaurant with loud music namely, Cota 200 Restaurante, serves Brazilian food. Little expensive but gives you taste of local food with good ambience.

Day 5

The tram takes through the Tijuca National Park, largest urban forest in the world.

The Tram to the top provides a casual but breathtaking experience. No trip would be complete without visiting the top.

At 2230 feet, this hunchback mountain is crowned with the famous Christ Redeemer statue. By night, the 100 foot tall statue appears to float above the city like an angel, guarding Brazil.

Corcovado is a spectacular site to visit.

Day 6

New Year's Eve! where Rio & Copacabana beach are famous worldwide for it's amazing celebration & fireworks display. In Brazil, people mostly wear white clothes on the Eve. This makes Brazil look snowy white!

Copacabana beach is the site of massive fireworks display at midnight.

Samba , music are enjoyed by everyone, welcoming the new year!

Recommendations:

1) Go with little or nothing in your pockets ( beach is overcrowded so to avoid pick pocketing.

2) To avoid the post midnight hassle is to arrange for a taxi or car to wait for you at a specific location & time.

Urca is one of the best place to take sunset pictures. It's situated close to the sugarloaf mountain so it can be visited as the same day as the mountain.

Here you can buy beer & a glass and walk across the street & sit on the retaining wall & take in these views.

Perfect for couples who want to sit together to enjoy the sunset.
