Day 2

We pre-booked the ferry well in advance via online portal (http://uat.makruzz.com/online_user_booking) We took Makruzz (a private luxury ferry with comfortable seating) from Phoenix Bay Jetty which departs at 8:00 A.M. It was ~2 hour ride and we reached Havelock Island by 11:00 A.M. After hotel check-in we started for Elephant beach. One can reach Elephant beach via 20 minutes speed boat ride which charge ₹ 950 per person or a small trek ~2 km is also available through forest reserve. Elephant beach is famous for water sport activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, banana boat ride. Water was crystal clear and beach was picturesque. The beach closes by 4:00 P.M.

For local transport one can easily get an scooty or bicycle on rent at nominal price of ₹ 400. We went to Ocean Tribe center to fill form and a theoretical informative session (~1 hour) for Scuba diving so that we can directly go for dive early morning next day.

We went to Coco cafe for dinner, must try.

Day 3

Once in a lifetime experience of witnessing life under water. We pre-booked early morning slot of 7:00 A.M. for Scuba diving via Ocean Tribe (http://ocean-tribe.com/). I highly recommend Ocean Tribe, they have humble, patience and highly skilled trainer. We dived 10 meter deep into the water for ~54 minutes.

A view of the beach, hammock, books and delightful food defines Full Moon Cafe. After sumptuous meal we went to Radhanagar beach for sunset view. Radhanagar Beach is known for its emerald blue waters and white sandy beaches with a tropical forest lined up on one side.

After lunch we went to Bharatpur beach , it was kind of overcrowded and worth going if you are looking for some water sport. Around 4:00 we reached Nature's bridge (Laxmanpur) Beach which is famous for live corals. Do hire a guide here as he will help in spotting star fish, sea cucumber, color changing reefs, sea urchins, panchmukhi shells and if lucky you might spot octopus as well.
