Our route was like,
Pune--> Mumbai--> Amritasar-->Manali-->Shimla-->Delhi-->Pune.
I’ve got so inspired of the travel stories on this platform that I’m writing my first ever Blog.
Hello fellow travelers, I’m Suyash from Pune, let’s get started.
Okay, so on Day-01 we left from Pune to Bandra(Mumbai) as we had a Train from Bandra terminus to Amritsar.
On Day 02 we were in Amritsar, the weather was quiet cold and our morning started with Amritsari chai and paratha. After breakfast we went to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden temple). Spent few hours over there in peaceful atmosphere. Then we went to the huge langar hall of the temple for our lunch of the day, before the lunch we got the chance to serve the food as well. as we finished our food it was around 4pm, again we went to hotel took some rest and came out in night to taste some hardcore Punjabi food.
On Day-03 we took a bus of Himachal tourism from the bus depo around 3 pm. We were quite scared to travel to Manali by the government bus however overall experience was great. As we were travelling at night we didn't get to see outside much though.
We reached Manali early morning around 6am and it was freezing cold outside however worth the beautiful nature. Took a cab from Mall road to the hostel we booked on Booking.com, which was in Old Manali.
checked in, got settled and came out in afternoon and went to Hidimba Temple. Roamed around Mall road, did some shopping and booked a cab for Solang valley for the next day.
As advised by the locals as well as the driver we left for the valley around 7am. It was all beautiful around. Weather was pretty pleasant, we were enjoying the beauty. Spent almost full day and came back to hotel. The place was getting crowded as the time passed. The only regret we have is it wasn't snowing at that time.
It was the New Year's eve and the mall road was pretty crowded, Celebrated New year in Manali (first time away from home).
It was the very first day of the New year and we took a cab from Manali to shimla. I had no idea that this road trip was going to be one of the best trip of my life. This is must if you want to enjoy some of the beauty of Himachal pradesh. Reached Shimla (totu), checked in our hotel which we booked on OYO.
On this day, my friends chose to stay back at hotel and roam around in Totu and I decided to visit Mall road, Shimla. roamed around and came back to Totu by evening. Enjoyed the food at mini dhaba near hotel and went to sleep.
We left our hotel early morning as we wanted to board Toy train from Shimla to Kalka (one of the best Toy train routes as far as view's concern).On boarded the train which took us to Kalka and from kalka we changed our train to New delhi. reached Delhi be evening and stayed in Pahadganj
We were pretty exited about the street food available in Delhi, went to karol bagh to have some, variety of Paratha's offered was absolutely amazing. as we had train in evening to Pune, went back to hotel, packed. stuff and headed to Railway station.
This is how the 10 days long journey with ups and downs came to an end.
