When the summer starts in full swing and everyone's out there revelling about the freedom this season blesses us with, I was planning to vacation in one of the most stunning places in Asia, Singapore.

We took the Etihad airlines, landed in Singapore in the early hours. With rain welcoming us the temperature was pleasing and it indeed was an escape from the grueling heat of UAE. Metro has beautiful connectivity to the city and thus it was an ideal means of travel. Being Indians we decided to stay in Little India, Singapore as they have budgeted hotels with lots of Indian food as an option.

They say Singapore never sleeps and it was indeed true. We started our journey with visiting the Merlion in downtown Singapore. The place looks absolutely gorgeous at night with the Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore flyer all lit up by the shore. A river cruise is a definite try.

Singapore is never complete without visiting the Sentosa Island and that's what was on cards for the next 2 days.

Sentosa is a place where fun unites. They have everything under 1 roof. From a theme park as famous as the Universal Studio to 4D movies to trick eye museums and water world. A must visit place for people of all ages.

There are also many places like the gardens by the bay, birds park, Zoo and aquariums to see as well.

Wanna make a buck, then casino it is. Go for a beginners luck and an experience to remember, just don't make it a habit!!

Also not to mention the street shopping which is the high point. If you are a bargainer, then whoo-hoo!. Bugis street, china town, Mustafa, lucky plaza are all a must visit place for shopping.

In case you want to wind up with some drinks and dance, then just head to Clark Quay, that's where the parties happen. The most happening place of Singapore that never dies out until dawn.

With this we came to an end of a spectacular travel memoir of Singapore.

Scrumptious food, beautiful place, helpful people and a fine city.

Cheers Singapore!
