Hi guys, This post is a continuation to my original blog post MY TRIP TO SINGAPORE
Let us start our journey to Singapore. I will attach all the relevant travel pictures below. I would start with packing my stuff, flight experience ,accommodation and finally reaching Singapore along with all my experience.
Singapore is situated near the equator and it has high humidity throughout the year and thunderstorms can hit the city anytime. Thus its advisable to carry cap, a water bottle, a pen (for filling all the VISA forms), suncream and an umbrella in your bag-pack. I always prefer to carry few clothes, just to keep my luggage very small and thus having enough space to purchase souvenirs in new country.
- It's Time to board flight
I travelled via Malaysian Airlines which costed US $307 for round trip from Bangalore,India. There wan't much congestion during immigration and we were quickly done with all the formalities. It wasn't a direct flight, we reached KL (Malaysia) in about 4 hrs and then boarded a connecting flight to Singapore. Due to some reason our flight got delayed by 2 hrs and we had to wait for around 5 hrs. However KL airport is just quite amazing and time quickly passed while roaming at the airport, taking pictures, small dinner ,a nap and browsing internet,oh yeah internet is available unlimited for free :).
Arriving at Changi Airport and Accommodation
Immigration in Singapore was also finished quickly and we were ready to reach our hotel. Singapore has very good commute system ranging from Buses, metros and cabs. At airport we tried booking Uber but couldn't do it due to slow internet , and metro was also closed since we reached @ 2 AM Singapore time, thus we booked a local taxi at the airport and reached our hotel (CitaDines , mount sophia). Taxi's in Singapore are a bit costly and airport transfer costed us around S $25,however most of the taxis are equipped with credit/debit card swiping machines.
Thus after fun filled journey of 12 hours, we reached Singapore and that ended Day Zero for us.I hope you guys enjoy this post,I would be continuing this series with my adventures on Day 1 in Singapore,so do read the same too.
Till then peace out, live the adventure and enjoy life.
