For our trip to Uttarakhand, we made Joshimath the base. We flew down to Haridwar from Mumbai on 29th Dec’2017 for trip to Uttarakhand. From Haridwar drove down to Joshimath. So, after a peacefull night at Joshimath, we drove up to Auli to witness the skiing point and the peaks of beautiful Himaliyan range. We had to trek to reach till the 8th point as the cable car was under maintenance. It was bit difficult to climb up as the snow started melting due to sun shining that day. We were not prepared for this trek so got exhausted after a little while. Then we found few horses descending and asked the owners if we could take their services to climb up. And must say it was a boon as we felt a bit relief from the steep climbing & slippery tracks, also we enjoyed the view all around us. On reaching the lake, all our discomfort faded away & we were spell bound by its beauty. To witness the beautiful Trishul peak & Nanda Devi parbat was just mind blowing...As the temperature was dropping due to expected snowfall, we started descending so that we reach the base without any hassle. Overall our experience was beyond any words & will be treasured deep into our sweet memories ❤️
We planned our trip much in advance & made online deal with a tour operator from Delhi. Total amount for the package tour to Uttarakhand was Rs. 14,000/- for 5 nights. We were 6 people in the group. Package was inclusive of stay, breakfast & dinner and an innova car at our disposal.
