I had A weekend of this April, so what I can do best was travelling and yeah I did that,packed my bags and went on to explore. This time some off beat place in the lap of Majestic Himalayan ranges & that's why I planned my itinerary of North sikkim, also referred as "The mini Switzerland" Truly it was. The journey towards North sikkim is quite hectic as it takes about 7-8 hours on the mountain roads but The journey till here is worth it every second. The mesmerising views will never let you down. But wait a minute,🤔 am I gonna talk about only "North sikkim" ??? ➡No. I'm gonna tell you about a place which is not mentioned in any itinerary. I found out about it after exchanging some conversation with locals and asked about the most beautiful places they suggested a place 144km ahead of the capital city of Gangtok . This place is known as "Mount katao", though it's magnificent, the beauty of this place will magnetize your heart . It was really an enthralling experience, on one side there were numerous beautiful waterfalls in the mountains and the other side there were the picturesque snow clad mountain peaks. This place was like no other, you can witness the true colors of nature here, you can witness the snow clad mountains peaks turning into waterfall after some altitude 💟 that was something magical, I was just thrilled with this serenity of mother nature.To reach there first you need to take the permit through your Hotelier or the cab driver ,as this is near the Indo - Tibet border. And at the top of it there lies the "Zekuphak" After this point no civilians are allowed and photography is restricted at some particular places, So do obey the restrictions as soldiers serving there are spending there days and days for us without even knowing us this is the least thing we can do to not bother then. Please respect the restrictions here as it is for our safety, travel responsibly and enjoy the spellbound views. This place is nothing but heaven, In every direction your eyes will meet those ecentric mountains,valleys, homes of the locals, those green bridges with the musical sound of water continuously flowing under it, those beautiful scenic views which will bind you to say that the journey is beautiful than the destination itself. This surreal mountain offers the onlookers a splendid view.
