Day 1

We started our trip from Guwahati at sharp 7 AM. We were five persons and three bikes. Soon we cathed the Guwahati shillong road and speed started to rise gradually. We stopped for breakfast and other stuff at Nongpoh(meghalaya)  and after taking about an hour for chilling out we rode till umiam lake and yes we stopped there to take some pictures as well. Gradually we started going up and up and the clouds were literally started touching us. As soon as we escaped from the shillong city vibe towards Sohra, things started changing minute to minute. We crossed the shillong cafe and wanted to rest in midway. We travelled through seven sister falls and ended the trip in Bangladesh penorama view near Sohra. We started looking for a place to stay, we looked for oyo and other hotels. Suddenly one of our riders gave us the idea to search for some homestay and luckily we found one. It named 'Bala-ai-bynta' homestay. It was a residential home which is being rent out to people who are tourists. So once we found the homestay we went out to get some booze and some fresh pork and vegetables for the party that night. And believe me the pork in their local market was so fresh that I ended up eating many portions though I am not a huge fan of pork meat. One of our rider cooked it in three different ways. And the owner of the house also joined us for the party. The house was built 200 years ago and now its been renovated. So literally it had the feeling of traditional khasi homestyle.

Day 2

Next day we woke up early morning and there were literally clouds everywhere and the moment you step out of the house the dew feels just awesome. We had been offered a English breakfast by the owner and we said goodbye and started our second day tour. We directly headed towards Bangladesh border at 10 O clock. We visited the eco park over there and could see the Bangladesh so close to us. The park sustain a mesmerising view of a large waterfall among the hills. I doubt there are many people who have visited this place because the area was quite remote. Still thanks to meghalaya tourism it was well maintained and nicely reachable. We started coming back through the way we started exploring and we stopped for arowa caves but it was too crowded so we directly headed towards those five mysterious waterfalls situated midway. It was unnamed. There was a valley. We took bath and had lunch over thre and we finished our Sohra trip there only and headed towards home.
