Day 1

1. Nal Sarovar - This is a Bird Santuary. This wetland situated outside of ahemdabad. It covers almost 120 square km of area.
It consists of many small Islands. Here, local people can take us through wetland by boat. Boating charges can vary according to season. In monsoon it is not that high but in winter it will be on peak point.

Here , we can witness thousands of migratory birds in their natural habitat including flamingos, herons , great flamingos and  some other species of birds.

This is the best place for bird watching and bird photography nearer to Ahemdabad.

HOW TO REACH :

From Ahemdabad we can go by govt transportation via Sanand. It is almost 55km from Ahemdabad.

2. Lothal Archeological Site : This is the excavation site maintained by Govt of Gujarat. This archaeological site belongs to Harappan Civilization dates back to 1900-2400BC. This area used to be port in that time. This place will give you the sense of time of the human history. This Civilization is different than Indus valley Civilization.

HOW TO REACH :

From Ahemdabad we can go by govt transportation or by own vehicle. This site is 75km from Ahemdabad. But from Nal Sarovar it is only 45km. It would be better to go from Nal Sarovar, which would be much efficient way for both places from Ahemdabad.
