If someone wants to go on a International trip for the first time, I would suggest Thailand to be the first choice as we come across one of the nicest communities and people in the world! People will be "DOWN TO EARTH" friendly, and everything is easily accessible! Bangkok being the capital of Thailand, has two airports. From the airport, one can go to Phaya thai which is the commericial and residential area where one would feel comfortable to stay and eat.
Pattaya is 3 hours drive from Phaya thai! In Thailand, Pattaya and Phuket are well known for beaches! Pattaya has a very good beach with a good marine drive. Pattaya Sea shore has people who give very good Foot massage for sun bathers! Cold tender coconut at Pattaya is the sweetest in its kind! Apart from those, Skydiving, deep sea diving and motor boating, biking adds to much fun! One day at Pattaya will be more than enough to experience all these! From phaya thai, there are buses to Pattaya. Near the beach, Gems Galleria is present where we can spend excellent 2 hours on seeing something about Jewelery! If you are from India, it is better not to buy ornaments from there as it costs much cheaper here!
At Phaya thai, you would find skyscrapers making the city appear like a celebration spot! There is a hotel called Baiyoke'e towers 85 storey building allowing the tourists to view the Bangkok city from its terrace! Terrace is open at evenings fOr tourists. This area is a superb food spot(if we explore) and a purchasing spot! MBK Shopping mall is a well known tourist spot which is just a station away from Phaya thai by metro Train! Instead of taking a metro train, i would suggest TUK TUK! kind of auto :P But extended long auto! This tuk tuk is must for experience for its amazing colors, sound and the music set!
