Tripoto

Built in 7th century, 'Shore Temple' is one of the earliest structural temples in south India . It is called the shore temple as it stands at the shore and looks over the Bay of Bengal. In earlier days, it was also used as a landmark for navigation.This architectural beauty consists of three shrines of which the prominent once are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

Mahabalipuram is also famous for its panch rathas. Each ratha is dedicated to Pandavas and their wife Draupadi.This place is also a shelter to elephant# (vehicle of Indira), nandi (vehicle of Shiva) and lion (vehicle of Durga).
