After traveling number of times with Families & Friends, It was my first Solo excursion in Wayanad, Kerala.
Everyone must have heard of Blind date but it was kind of Blind Group Travel.
How it begins : A College friend put up a Facebook post where People were called out to come up and meet for an enthralling trip 3-4 days unplanned trip. Unexpectedly, The post got lots of shares and random people started joining the thread. A Whatsapp group was created and what can be the better place than WAYANAD. I thought this can my first chance to experience something out of my comfort zone. It was a mixed feeling of excitement & curiosity to explore the place with no fixed itinerary, unknown people & zero comfort of Cab/Coach.
3 days (10 – 12 July 2015) were filled with Meeting 14 crazy travelers from all over India, Eating local food, Waterfall & Trekking at Chembra peak having Heart shape lake
Roaming around in Local buses, Crazy nights in dormitory with Ilaiyaraaja Music, Lost the way in the pitch dark with not a single person around leads us to walk 3 km extra, 350 steep staircase to reach Eddakal Caves & many more..
No journey can be better than this. Kerala’s greenery & amazing rain truly makes it God’s own country.
Only travel keeps the people together.
