It was a much needed break from the daily routine...& to be frank wanted to spend some time with my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & a few friends of Riding community named "ROYAL RIDERS' CLUB , KOLKATA.
Day-1
As the day time was very hot & humid, took the decision to start the ride early....& reach Hotel Sagarika ,(Govt' Tourist Lodge), Diamond Harbour to have breakfast.
Ohh, what a lovely breakfast it was...loved every bit of "Paratha & Sabsji" followed by a cup full of nice tea.
Took shelter in Hotel Deepak, Frazergaunge... yes it's a good hotel with AC & Non-AC rooms, huge dining space with good variety in menu & a not so well-maintained swimming pool...
After taking a much needed shower ,took my 650cc for a short outing to explore the area as i am visiting the place after almost 10 years. As time have passed the locality has changed a lot...& i mean " a lot" .
Henry's island is a nice place to spend time... Hours will fly in minutes...& still one will want to stay more.
After a long time , spent some time with myself....at least for a few hours....(because all of our team members really partied hard overnight & my plan to stay alone was shot down)....
Day-2 (afternoon) - In the afternoon while returning home, got completely drenched in heavy rain with uncountable numbers of lightning in the horizon.. & after the rain a hot cup of coffee in Diamond Harbour was more than welcome as it lifted the spirit to ride again to another destination very soon.
