Temple Location :
Tambdi Surla is located inside the area of Bhagwan Mahavir National Park. Situated amidst nature, it is a divine place. The intricate carvings of the temple adorn the interior and sides of the temple. It is built by skilled craftsmen. Now, there is a priest cum caretaker who stays there throughout the day. Along with Lord Shiva, the temple has fascinating figures of Lord Vishnu and Brahma. Every corner of the temple tells a story. Tambdi Surla faces east so that the rays of the rising sun first falls on the deity.
Apart from nature and the temple, you would only find some monkeys hopping from here and there. The place is unbelievably quiet. You can only hear the sound of the stream and the chirping of birds when you are in the temple premises. There is a headless Nandi right at the center of the temple. River Surla flows by the temple. The location is so pristine that you will definitely love to visit the temple not once but several times. Mahashivaratri is celebrated with pomp and show in the temple where the visitors as well as the locals of the area participate with all their heart and soul.
