Food: For few it's a need, they eat because they need food to be alive, but for me food is something which makes me happy. Be it a sweet mango or a glass of yum lassi or a bowl full of kheer. Sometimes these small things make us feel alive. When I come home from work and eat a ripe mango, that makes me happy. From the above description, you would have understood that I am fond of sweet foods. So, good food is something which improves our mood, is what I feel.
I am going to write about the lovely food which I ate and the taste is still in my mind and I guess I will never forget that. This was during our trip to Bali around 2 years ago. We booked a tour package and as per that, our entire trip was planned. For all other days another driver came. But we were lucky that on that day this guy came, who took us to this restaurant. Why I said this is because the other guy never took us to any place apart from the planned ones. But this guy was very friendly and was helpful. It was the day when we were supposed to go to the Padang-Padang beach and Uluwatu temple. We were picked by afternoon and while on the way we started talking to the driver. We asked about the famous places in there. Then he mentioned about the famous restaurants in Zimbaran area. Those are sea side shacks, where they serve amazingly tasty food. Then he said all the tourists have food there while coming back from Uluwatu temple. Then I asked him what about lunch, do they server lunch as well? Then he nodded and said yes. Luckily we had not had our lunch that day and we asked him to take use there for lunch and that was the best decision which we took. Those restaurants are famous for sea food. They were selling live sea food. We took a kg of prawns. Then we were asked to sit. There were tables on the beach side, but it was too sunny outside and hence we sat on a table where there was a roof but sides were open, so that we could have a view of the sea. The sea was beautiful. We ordered a cocktail while waiting for the food. And then came the heavenly food, the taste which is still in my mind. They gave us some rice , barbequed prawns, some cooked leafy greens and some sauce. When I saw the food, I thought how would I eat that as there was no gravy. But when I took a bite of the prawn, I was amazed that how could the food be so delicious. Then I tried eating the rice with the prawns and the sauce which was given. Everything served, was freaking delicious. I felt like eating some divine food. As I have mentioned earlier, I still remember the taste of the prawns. Those were perfectly spiced, juicy and flavorful. I have had prawns in so many places earlier, but trust me this was amazing. And I feel everyone visiting Bali must try the food at Zimbaran. Then we thanked our driver so much for taking us to the place.
