Tapovan is a fine gem in cap of Deoghar in Jharkhand. It can be a good weekend getaway with friends or family.
How to reach:
Tapovan is around 10 km from main town of Deoghar. From Jasidih railway station, you can get on a shared auto or book cab for tapovan.
No entry fee or scheduled timings are there. The best time to visit would be early morning or evening, when sun would be spreading it's charm.
We reached tapovan on a booked auto in the evening. The sun was still quite bright. Tapovan is famous for temple of lord Shiva. Meanwhile, it provides a scenic beauty.
Moreover, you can enjoy a small trekking through the large hill size rocks of tapovan. As we reached, we noticed a lot of monkeys everywhere, who were being fed by visitors. After we visited the Shiva temple made under cave, we started our short trek. The trek is small, but not very simple, so be careful not to hurt yourself. Tapovan turned out to be a good evening hangout.
