Nagarjunakonda, is an Island which is in the middle of the reservoir. It is a historical Buddhist town. There is a museum which has all the stone age equipments and ancient buddhist materials. We can reach there by a boat which is provided by telangana tourism which starts from the base point of the dam. The cost of the ticket for boating and the museum entry ticket is 180rs including GST as. Previously it was just 120rs for both but now due to increase in taxation on tourism the cost of the tickets have been increased.

40mins from the base point of the dam and we reached Nagarjunakonda Island on boat. Camera's were not allowed inside the museum so i couldn't click an pictures. Had my lunch there at the Island which was nothing but a plate of fried rice. Boat halt time was for 1hr so i had get back on to the boat. Boat was well maintained by the tourism department because the interiors were good and with a open roof top which was the best to click pictures and feel the cool breeze.

1'o clock and i continued my journey to the ethipothala water falls which was just 13km from nagarjuna sagar dam. Water from the Nagarjuna Sagar right bank canal is released in to the streams to keep the water fall alive or flowing throughout the year for tourism purpose. There is a crocodile breeding centre in the pond formed by the water fall. Low percentile of rainfall was the reason for less water in the waterfalls. It can be seen in the below picture.

75km's done and i took a halt to refuel and check the air pressure of my tyre at the pump. The cool breeze mad and my lovely 200ns made me cover longer distance smoothly.Road conditions were too good as far as off roading is not concerned. At some point when passing by from villages the roads were bad, might be due do rain. Greenery all around made me feel fresh and to ride continuously.

Lazy sunday morning but the feeling or excitement that we get before going for road trips vanishes the laziness. Similarly I was like a fully charged battery for this trip, the weather was perfect as it was a rainy season which was the only reason I planned for such a nearby destination from hyderabad i.e 333km's.It is one of the popular weekend getaways from Hyderabad which is controlled by Telangana Tourism. I started around 8'o clock in the morning. Before starting I checked the shortest route to destination with the help of Google Aunty(Google Maps) so that i can come back soon as i had college the next day. As planned i had my breakfast and started for this amazing trip.
