The trip was well planned and we had done our bookings of hotel and bus around 3 weeks before the date of actual journey. We were travelling from Indore to Udaipur during the month of February. The weather was hot and sunny even at that time. We booked our hotel in Hotel Dayal for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel was really accommodating. The manager was very kind and friendly and he even sent an auto to pick us up from bus stand. We reached Udaipur at 5:30 AM in the morning and even though the check-in time was 11 AM, the manager managed to arrange one room for us to help us get freshened up.
We left the hotel at around 9:30 AM to start our day 1. Our first destination was Grasswood Café for breakfast. The place is really warm and cozy and after having a heartfelt breakfast we went to our next destination – Bagore ki Haveli. The other places we covered on day 1 were Jagdish Temple, Bada Bazaar, City Palace, The Dharohar dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli (Must watch) and finally back to our hotel for dinner.
Day 2 started with our journey to Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh is so rich in history that you would easily require half a day to know the entire fort. A guide is always recommended since there are so many places to see that it is impossible to do it yourself. We took around 1.5-2 hrs to reach Chittorgarh from Udaipur. The entire trip took us around 5 hours and while coming back to Udaipur we stopped by Eklinji temple and Sas Bahu Temple. If architecture excites you then Sas Bahu temple is a must see. We then stopped by Hathipole market for some shopping and finally had dinner in Hotel Nataraj to have Rajasthani Thali. The moong ka halwa was by far the best halwa we had ever tasted.
We started off the 3rd and final day by going to the Monsoon palace where we spent about an hour. While returning we went to Maharana Pratap Smarak, Saheliyon ki Bari, Karni Mata and finally did boating on the Pichola Lake. We had our dinner in Raasleela hotel by the lake Pichola. The hotel is situated by the lake pichola and the beauty of lighting and lake during night is unmatchable. We were not really impressed with the food and service but if you want to experience the sheer beauty of eating by the river side, this is the place! Finally we left at around 9:00 PM from the place and headed back towards Indore.
Rajasthan is a very safe place if you want to have a girl’s trip. We did not find any issue the 3 days that we stayed and in fact people were really helpful and amazing and helped us in whatever way they could. We mostly travelled in local autos/uber and for Chittorgarh we had taken a cab which was arranged by the hotel itself. All in all the 3 days trip was fun filled and exciting and we hope to do more of such trips in future.
