Day 1

Since two years I wanted to do a solo trip to Jodhpur and finally I planned a trip to Jodhpur near Diwali. As jodhpur don't required more than 2 days to cover the entire city I left on friday evening so that I can come back by Monday morning. Took an overnight bus from Surat and reached Jodhpur early in the morning. I already had my booking with Zostel jodhpur. Now this was a cool place with amazing surrounding. In this trip I would provide you the places and cafes to hang out in Jodhpur. So you can stay at The blue turban-zostel of jodhpur or even hotel Jhankar-choti haveli, which recently got converted into a hotel from a haveli. Guys they have amazing rooms with a view of Mehrangarh fort. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. A must visit hotel in jodhpur. Coming to the places I started my day from Ghanta ghar. Its basically a market place which was walking distance from zostel. Try the famous lassi over there. It is so delicious.

After that took an auto to Umaid Bhawan Palace. Some of its part is accessible to the visitors. Do visit this place.

After that I came down and visited Jaswant Thada. It's actually an memorial. At the back side of Jaswant thada you can have a majestic view of Mehrangarh fort and you can enjoy the pleasant weather over there. You can spend some quality time relaxing at Jaswant Thada. Many folk music performances happen there, can enjoy that too in the evening time.

Came back to Zostel, rested a while and than went to the Stepwell Cafe. It is located at the stepwell which is known by the name of Toorji Ka Jhalra by the locals. People visit this cafe as it gives an bird eye view of the Stepwell. Cool place to hang out. Also provide you with an amazing view of the Mehrangarh fort. It looks amazing during night when the lights of the fort are turned on.

Day 2

To visit Mehrangarh fort you have to walk a little bit to save some bucks on auto. It's a 10-15 minutes walk which passes from the blue houses, a little steep road which makes you feel tired but it's okay if it save you some bucks. So I decided to walk till the fort. Reached to the fort and went to visit the museum. It describes about the history of Jodhpur and Maharaja. Also you can see the rooms where they used to stay and can hear their stories from the guides of you are really into the history. After that I went to the point for which the city is famous for. The great view of the blue houses from the fort. Sat there for a while. Great experience.

After that there was nothing left to explore in Jodhpur. I roamed in the market and again visited the Jhankar-choti haveli. I somehow found this place very interesting to hang out. I visited that place thrice in my two days visit to Jodhpur.

This was all for Jodhpur. I would advice just plan for 2 days otherwise you will get bored or take some nearby places along with jodhpur trip.
