Travelling being my passion, my mind always focus on the things which excite me the most. Be it a movie, conversation or get-togethers with friends and family, you will always see me focusing on the places which I can travel/explore. This world is too big and I want to see, learn and explore as much as I can.

Langkawi is one of the many such places which was on my bucketlist after watching Roy movie. Though I didn't like the movie much, yet I was amazed by this beautiful Island.

I decided to include this place in my travel Itinerary during my honeymoon. Langkawi is made of many small islands, surrounded by clean turquoise sea (Andaman Sea) and the interior of the sea is filled with jungles and hills. The best part about Langkawi is that it's a duty free island. So you can relax and shop as much as you want. Liquors, chocolates, cookwares etc are very reasonably priced here. For liquors, government has some restrictions, so you can't buy bottles beyond that particular limit.

Day 1

We landed at Langkawi airport and transportation was arranged by our hotel. As Langkawi is a serene island, I would recommend everyone to book a 5 start property and enjoy in the beautiful sea view rooms and the private beaches. We decided to stay at Berjaya Langkawi resort. Set amidst the tropical forest, they have options for both budget travelers as well as people seeking luxury. They have superb beachfront water bungalows (higher price) as well as reinforest chalets. Chalets are cheaper and well maintained as well.

Berjaya Resort is self sufficient and you can explore as much as you want within the vicinity of the resort. Berjaya has total 8 restaurants and some of the places actually offer the most romantic dinner experience. They have a private beach and some sports activities as well. So it's all about sand in your feet and relaxation in your mind.

Day 2

Apart from the luxurious resorts, Langkawi has many more things to offer. The best is the cable car. The cable car point is very near to Berjaya resort, the hotel even provide free shuttle service to the center. Near to the cable car point, there is a also Langkawi Harbor. Harbor point is a well developed township and you can explore the restaurants and cafes.

Day 3

After exploring the nearby areas (Sky bridge and harbor) you can keep a day to explore the city part of Langkawi. Visit the eagle square, markets (for liquor and chocolates, public beached etc). Once done with the day visit, you can tryout the mangrove catamaran boat ride and enjoy a sunset dinner with your better half.

Special tip: Spend an entire day at Berjaya resort, there are lot many things to see and do at this beautiful place.
