This is a unique backpacker hostel in Mysore, the city with great heritage and cultural values. The place is hardly 1.5 km away from the railway station. The dorms are pretty hygienic and comfortable, taking care of all the little needs. The best part is that the accommodation is power packed with a lineup of events like cycle tours, cooking festivals, hill-hiking, countryside exploration etc. You can get free Wi-Fi, safe lockers, board games, TV, common hangout area, bike rentals, fully equipped kitchen, cooking classes and free parking.

Cost with breakfast:

The hostel has options of standard mixed dormitory, female only dormitory, deluxe mixed dormitory and private rooms as well. All accommodation come with linen, blankets, plug points and lamps. The price of a bunk is Rs 550 per night for a mixed and female dorm and a standard double room non AC is priced at Rs 1500 per night.

Allepey is one of my personal favourites for it is a complete detox from the madness of city life. This hostel’s heritage Dutch architecture with its laid-back vibe is surely going to win your hearts. The place has traditional architecture with high ceilings and wooden decor complemented with bright blue doors and whitewashed walls. The art packers' hostel comes with a choice of spacious and clean dorms with bunk beds and a shared bathroom, or private rooms that come with air conditioning and a private bathroom. There is an outdoor seating area as well.

Cost with breakfast:

The bunk in dormitory is priced reasonably at only Rs 499/599 depending upon AC and Non AC and the Mushroom Lab, the private room that accommodates two is priced at Rs 1699 per night.

Set amidst hills, this place is conveniently located near rose garden and a railway station. Along with the guaranteed mountain views from your dorm or a private room, there is a locker and storage facility, common hangout area with TV, free Wi-Fi to share your Zostel moments.

Cost:

A bunk will cost you approximately Rs 649 for six-bed mixed dorm; Rs 549 for 10 Bed Mixed Dorm; Rs 499 for 12 bed mixed dorm and Rs. 649 for six-bed female dorm per night. The private room is priced at Rs 2,800 per night. Breakfast charges are extra.
