The Isle of Dreams

A cosmic dance of the great blue,

The golden sand build many castles.

You Wake up to bird's melody in a lush green island,

Splashes of turquoise water somersaults.

Breath in the serenity that weaves a pure magic,

Somewhere you get lost in the depths of the great blue.

Turquoise, sea green ,blue ; Ocean paints itself in myriads of emotions.

Explore the Pristine and breath in the tranquility,

Dive into the depth of the ocean to set yourself Free.

Stretching an eternity towards Nirvana ,like a blue sapphire,

An isle of dreams. . .

Yes, I am talking about The Andaman Islands. I believe it's been one of the most unexplored places of India. Thus I decided to step my foot on the mysterious island on one winter Morning. I boarded a morning Flight for Port Blair from Calcutta. I witnessed one of the Most fascinating views from the flight. Then and there I realized the adventure and adrenaline rush that's waiting for me on the mysterious island.

Day 1

Day1: I arrived Port Blair and checked in to a Hotel. After treating myself with a sumptuous lunch my travel bug led me to the corbyn's cove. Its one of the prettiest beach of Port Blair portraying with tall coconut tress touching the sky, the golden beach, water sports, sunshine, sand and the sea.A perfect place to set yourself free and relax . The day was not over yet for me and evening had planned a bigger surprise for me. I witnessed the historical Light and Sound Carnival in Cellular Jail.

Day 2

Day 2: After An early Breakfast I proceeded towards the Havelock Island by a Private Cruise. And for the first time i felt so close to the sea which i have been watching from a distance since now. The private Ship cruising , cutting the waves and sailing amidst the great Blue. There were music, food and all sorts of fun in the Cruise. It was one of my favorite Cruise rides from Port Blair to the Havelock Island. It took around an hour or so to reach the pretty island. A True Nirvana with beautiful white beaches and a canopy of green surrounding the island. I went to the Radhanagar Beach. This beach is ranked “7th best beach in the world” by Time Magazine and it didn't disappoint me. I felt like fairy tales coming alive , so perfectly painted on nature's canvass.

After a short exploration I availed another Ship from Havelock and forged by tent (Read checked in to a Hotel) in Neil Island. It's a short 30 min journey amidst the great blue from Havelock Island to Neil Island.I still remember spending that night under a thousand stars on a tiny Island miles away from the claustrophobic city Life. The sound of waves lashing into the shores, the twinkling stars and that feeling of staying on an island. I felt how little is my existence in this universe.

Day 3: Neil is a very tiny island with lot of things to explore. I quickly ticked off Natural Rock Formation at the Laxmanpur beach , a spectacular view of naturally formed bridge like structure, a must visit. Next up was the Bharatpur beach and sitapur beach.

Activities At the Neil Island: Scuba diving, Snorkeling,Fishing,Swimming, Water Cycling, Trekking, Glass Boat Coral Sight seeing and many more.

Day 4: A visit to the North Bay Island and Ross Island.

Day 4

A small trivia here, the island that you see on the back of a 20 rupees Indian currency, happens to be the North Bay Island. Surrounded by rugged hills and forests , the North bay Island is a place to dive into the great blue. Finally the much awaited bucket list ticked off in the form of scuba diving. After learning the hand communication language since one cannot communicate under water and taking some basic diving lessons i took a dive into the depth of great blue.A breathtaking and surreal experience of my life. Finding Nemo quite literally and exploring the vast treasure hidden beneath the water. A bliss as the corals came alive in front of my very eyes. The ocean has a life of its own, its own kingdom where i was the guest. If there happens to be any moment where Time stood still, this was it. The adventure and the adrenaline rush was unparalleled. My Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Mement !!

Still drenched in fantasy like experience I set sail (took a ship) to the Ross Island. A date with history and wilderness was waiting for me there.

Day 5

Day 5: Still in awe of Scuba diving I proceeded to Middle Strait and Lime cave the next day. The naturally formed lime cave is truly spectacular and leaves an impression in your mind.

I wonder what lies Next!

Day 6

Day 6: After breakfast half day local sightseeing in and around Port Blair. Visit Cellular Jail, Chattam Saw Mill, Museum and Aquarium etc.

This Trip has turned me into a story teller. My journey ends here with the city sight seeing but the adventure doesn't end here. I will keep exploring and paint them every single Time.

With Love,

From Andaman Islands.
