Athirapilly water falls, the pride of Kerala is the largest water fall of state. It is situated at border of Ernakulam and Thrissur District. If you are coming by train the nearest station is Chalakudy (CKI) and Angamaly (AFK) and the nearest airport is Cochin International Airport at a distance of 45 km. In order to reach the bottom of falls we had to walk through some irregular forest terrain, but it is really worth and the view is simply awesome. We visited during June 2017 during the monsoon.The entry fee was Rs 30. Note : If you are planning for Athirapilly trip recommend to first visit hanging bridge as it is on the way. Another nearby attraction is Silver Storm water theme park and Snow Storm.
We also visited the hanging bridge which is enroute Athirapilly. The place is a visual treat with its greenery and small falls on the way to bridge. The area also has activities for kids which included slide and play area.
