It’s one of the oldest lakes in a cave all around the world. You will easily find it close to the town of Simi and it’s called Nymph Cove.

The various archaeological excavations within the cave have brought to light findings of the 3rd and 4th A.C. centuries, making it obvious that the cave and its lake were well-known by ancient times and the semi-God Panas was worshipped here.

The natural entrance of the cave was created when a piece of the roof gave in and is not the only available entrance as nowadays a built-in second entrance is also available that offers a short round trip of the lake with a small boat.

The cave is decorated in most of its parts with huge stalactites.  The dimensions of the cave is 160 meters in length and 40 meters in width and the highest depth of the lake water reaches 39 meters at some point.

The Nymph Cove is definitely a mesmerizing place, one should not miss to visit and get accustomed and immediately a devoted fan of the secret mystical world of the caves system of our planet.
