This is another miracle story when I accidentally saw Northern Lights.
Background
So I joined Nagarro in Sept 16 and I was told by someone that the team I joined has a lot of onsite opportunity. It eventually happened in July 17 and I went to Stockholm. Being one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited, I saw a lot of beautiful places but that't kept for another blog. For this blog I will just concentrate on the Northern Lights.
Unforgettable Night -- The Northern Lights
I was living in Vallengby and I had joined 24x7 gym which was just behind my apartment. I hate getting up early in the morning so I used to go to the gym in the Night. It was no different that night too, I was there in the gym from 9 pm to 10ish and then I was on my way back to my apartment when I noticed that the night is so clean. It struck me that I should try taking a long exposure photo which might result in a glance at the Milky Way. So I went to my apartment and got my gear, Canon 6d Samyang 14 mm and the rock sold tripod and started taking photos. The first few photos I took were too over exposed and I was disheartened and was going to go back in case I don't get anything soon. This was when I realized that there is something fishy in the photos, the lower part of the frame was getting green. I thought I have screwed up my lens or the camera.
I looked up and all of a sudden was taken aback with a green wave. I could not believe my eyes, something in me shouted in excitement, wow Northern Lights. I was taken by surprise and never got chance to tweak the setting and I just started taking random photos. Here is what I got.
The Next Day In Office
The next day in office was amazing. I told everyone that I saw Northern Lights to which they replied, no ways, you must have seen something else. We have been living here for the last 20 years and we haven't seen the Lights yet, you are here for the last couple of months and you are telling us that you have seen the Northern Lights, crap. Then I showed them the photos and believe me they are still waiting for the night when they can witness this miracle of Mother Nature.
